Neil and Svend are a storytelling and musical duo based in Central Scotland. They are a collaboration between Scottish musician Neil Sutcliffe and Danish storyteller Svend-Erik Engh . They met on the Isle of Lismore in 2017, during the Taproots Literary and Music festival. Walk the Oars was part of The Fringe 2019 at The Scottish Storytelling Centre and after the show we were contacted by Lyths Arts Centre if we were interested in a week asylum where we could work on new material. Neil Sutcliffe is a young musician and singer from Stirling in central Scotland. He has a wide background in several styles, including jazz, classical and traditional Scottish music and is currently studying a classical music degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Music in Glasgow. The Show about Wolves is going to be showed at The Edinburgh Fringe at The Scottish Storytelling Centre in August 2020 – the show is filled with stories, music and songs about wolves. It is 70 minutes long It requires a room app. 5×5 meter No technical requirements .
Svend-Erik became a storyteller in 1994. Since then he has tried to find methods to expand the use of storytelling. He have told stories in classrooms for children, for business people at The Smithsonian Institute, Washington D.C. and the last three years he lived in Denmark he told stories to mentally disabled people.
